Designed and voiced by Grover Jackson and Mike Eldred the "Black Special" continues the legacy and relationship of both of these individuals. The "Black Special" was a pickup first offered by Charvel's Mfg. at the very beginnings of the company. Grover and Mike have taken that platform and weaved into it all of the best specs they have dealt with throughout their careers. Working with artists like Allan Holdsworth, Jeff Beck, David Gilmour, Gary Moore, and so many others, the "Black Special" is must have pickup. Hand wound to 7.9k with an Alnico 2 bar magnet and built by fellow Charvel alumni Willy Houston at Rocket Pickups.
